You have abysmal service from BBC CDN. Each chunk is about 6 secs long so you should nto have delays more than 500msec very often to ensure smooth playing. I typically I get a long delay > 1sec 2-3 times per day (usually at busy periods) and on occassions > 15secs . I have never seen 51sec delay !!!
