I'm in Milton just outside Cambridge and when I was on ADSL I got about 3 megabits with lots of line errors. I couldn't reliably stream anything for more than about 20 minutes. In January my cabinet was upgraded to FTTC and being only 110m from it I'm now getting 79.6 megabits down and 20 megabits up. The difference is startling, most things are near instant, and I can finally stream music for hours on end whether Classic FM (128kbps MP3) or BBC Dash at 320kbps AAC. If you can get FTTC I strongly advise you to upgrade. 40/10 would be ample if you're basically OK with 2 megabits (I hated 3 megabits, it was so slow even when it was working). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Owen Smith's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42371 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
