Use Putty to ssh into the pi and add this command

sudo echo max_usb_current=1 >> /boot/config.txt

In Max2play the is a tab somewhere to to this, it increases the power to
the usb ports.
Reboot afterwards and the disk should register in the correct tab.
If you have a Windows pc you can shutdown Max2play and put the card in a
reader and edit the boot config file by adding the text
> max_usb_current=1
at the bottom of the file.
Save and exit.
Eject the card, return it to the pi and restart the pi with the hard
disk attached.
