I've fixed a few things on a 0.32. About skip / forward, I'm sure I get it as there are 2 options: AirPlay conrollers can receive remote command that they then do what ever is required locally to change the stream. The player is ignorant of what's happening in the backgrounf it just received a new stream. But okay, LMS could send command to the controller and have it change volume/track etc ... sounds like a bit overkill, no? (like using iPeng to control and AirPlay controller ....) I've tried (probably not fully successfully) to have no prequisit for installation. Just add the repo, that's it. Network and Crypto extra components are added matching the paltform. I've tested (quickly, but it worked) on OSX, Linux x86 and x64, Linux arm and Windows 7. Win10 should not be much different, just think about opening the firewall for shairtunes_helper-win.exe if it does not automatically asks for it! LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
