That part is clear, detection is flaky. Now if turnblade detects immediately when the device goes off, it might mean that is has a session open with it which sounds very aggressive. In my understanding of AirPlay, controller should be passive and just do discovery, nothing else unless they want to playback something on the device. Anyway, I will search more for options to the discovery algorithm.
