Everything now seems to be working. Not sure I can recapitulate all of the steps (or the order). But I think the outline was:
1. follow the instructions to clear the LMS cache http://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/8377?product=a0qi00000069us5AAA 2. restart the LMS server now i could see at least some apps under "my apps" in the LMS Webui but the mix and soundcloud plugins had reverted from installed back to 3rd party, so i re-installed them the LMS server wouldn't restart properly after that 3. restart my computer 4. voilĂ , the mix and soundcloud apps now appear under myapps (your mileage may differ) I'm able to get some of the Soundcloud tracks to play, so I know that's working as well as it can.
