In 2015 BBC said it hoped to discontinue HLS in 2017 with DASH taking over everywhere. However a Sept 2016 BBC internet blog post said that DASH support/implementation is not good enough yet and so HLS support will be around for a number of years to come. Your DASH not working in "Listen Again" is strange and not a general problem known to me as I use DASH "Listen Again" all the time. If you have a workaround at the moment stick with it.
