This is one very good reason why we're uncoupling the Plum Framework from the Plum Generator (currently called the Plum IDE). If something like this happens under the upcoming Plum architecture, we just tweak the necessary files in the Plum Framework, zip it down with a name like "Plum Framework - Build 1234 - (7.01 Updater Fix)", upload it to the website, and post an announcement with a download link to the Plum Discussion List. When new Plum users download the Plum Framework they'll get the latest version because we'll be choosing the updater based on the latest Build number in the download directory.
