Folks, I just noticed something illegal in a part of the Plum Framework that someone sent to us recently: the developer had removed the Productivity Enhancement copyright on the code and had replaced it with a copyright notice that purported that the copyright was instead owned by his client.
Let me make it perfectly clear to everyone that this is utterly illegal. Productivity Enhancement owns all copyrights to all code that we have authored, which is everything in the Plum Framework and the code the makes up the Plum IDE. You are free to replace the copyright message for code that is either generated from database tables using the Plum IDE, or that you have handcrafted yourself, but the core Plum Framework code is copyright by Productivity Enhancement, Inc. It's easy to identify the Plum Framework code. It's everything you would end up with after generating a new Plum project without generating any form sets for any database tables (in other words, you don't select any tables to generate forms for toward the end of the Wizard). I sent a message to the Plum Discussion List a few weeks ago giving everyone permission to change the copyright in the non-Framework code, and we will have future versions of Plum generate code without any copyright messages in them, but the Plum Framework code will always contain our copyright, and you should not modoify it.
