We tried to hit last Wednesday as the Private Beta 5 release date, but feature requests, bug fixes, and complications with reengineering the Database Synchronization feature have been slowing us down.
It may seem like nothing has been happening, but plenty has been going on behind the scenes. We've been using Plum on a number of web apps, gaining experience with developers' needs by working very closely with a couple of dedicated developers, authoring the new compiled help file and tutorials, and adding functionality that we found to be necessary when using Plum under specific scenarios. It's been hard for me to say "When!" on feature requests because I want this very complex tool to be flexible as well as easy to use. The feature list has now been frozen for V1.0, and we already have a healthy list of features and new functionality slated for V1.1. David and I have a presentation to the Atlanta ColdFusion User Group this Wednesday that we have to prepare for, then a meeting with a client on Thursday, so we will be back on finishing up Plum this Friday. Realistically it looks like we are looking at Private Beta 5 dropping on Friday the 13th. This date seems appropriate. ;) Seriously, I hope you understand that we have to balance our efforts with Plum with our regular billable work, and that you won't be too mad at us for this final delay in Private Beta 5. It will be worth the wait, I promise you.
