Guys,

On Monday morning I'm going to send this message to discussion lists and
also directly to some hosting providers. Please respond ASAP with any
additional shared hosting problem areas that I should add to the list so I
can make sure it's complete. I have listed the four areas that are
technically required, but you may have also come up against some additional
areas, so your input is important.

-------------------------------------
We need to publish a list of hosting providers that allow the following
permissions for their shared ColdFusion hosting accounts:

1) CFFILE reads and writes (for directories inside the website's
subdirectories only)

2) Verity (you can require developers to store Verity collections in a
subdirectory of the website's root)

3) CFOBJECT and CreateObject() (for components only)

4) ColdFusion Server mapping (one per application)

This list is free to all hosting providers, and we will also place a free
banner ad inside the Plum IDE so developers can click the banner and go
directly to this list on our website.

We will be happy to place your company's logo and a link to whatever page
you want in this list so developers can conveniently sign-up with your
service. Any advertising verbiage (reasonable size, but not miserly by any
means), pricing details, or other things that will help you sell your
services will be allowed and encouraged.

Thanks in advance for your help in getting the word out.

Respectfully,
