Well Mark,

I have figured it out. It was the <cfinclude> that caused the
<cf_twoSelectsRelated> in test.cfm to stop working. I put a cfcalendar in
my leftNavBar. The <cfcalendar> will not work unless it is nested in
<cfform> tags. When I commented out the form tags, all was well.

That's why it worked for a few hours. It was after I changed the <cfmodule
template="#Request.layout#/Header.cfm"
pageType="Estimating"> to pagetype="Estimating" which included the
<cfcalendar> that the tag stopped working.

Go figure.

Mark

Well Mark,

I have done a lot of playing around with this and it seems (though I am
hardly an expert) like this is related to PLUM. I tried lots of different
possibilities, including cfincluding it from test.cfm, a page which had no
plum custom tags on it (although it was still in the framework) to another
page which had a <cf_displayList> on it.

Even though the tag works on test.cfm, once the page is <cfinclude> to the
other page, it stops working.

As soon as I add:  <cfmodule template="#Request.layout#/Header.cfm"
pageType="Estimating"> to the top of test.cfm, the <cf_twoSelectsRelated>
tag quits working.

I wonder if it has to do with the javascript for qforms, PLUM, or something
that is in the <cfinclude>?

I'll fool around some more and let you know.

Mark

Good evening,

I am having difficulty getting this tag to function properly. It was
working as expected for a couple hours, but now the second select does not
populate. I have tried everything I can think of (not a long list
unfortunately), including deleting and reloading the custom tag. When I do
a <cfdump> of the query it is using, it has all the necessary fields.

Also of note, the page renders in the browser with an "error on page"
message at the bottom. The error's main text is:

" 'document.forms.0.Item.SelectedIndex' is null or not an object."

When I go to the approximate line number of the source in Notepad (man there
seems to be a lot of white space in what cf generates), I think this is what
the error is referring to:

<SELECT NAME="Item" onChange="forms0ChangeMenu()" SIZE="1" ><OPTION
VALUE="">Choose Item First<OPTION
VALUE="Walls">Walls</SELECT><br><br><SELECT NAME="estItem" SIZE="1"
><OPTION VALUE="">Next Choose Est. Item</SELECT></td></tr>

There should be an additional option value (I only put two values in for
testing purposes) for <select Name="Item"> and two more values for <select
name="estItem>.

Any idea what I am doing wrong or if PLUM does not play well with two
related selects? Is there another tag that might be better suited?

Thanks for the help,

Mark Fuqua
