And they're good thought, too! I'll add most of these in after we get some
more feedback. I'll also be putting the names of the people who
participated in the comments.

Maybe you could also make a feature request system or just add 'feature' to
the bug dropdown if you plan to use this for future releases. I have made a
similar tracking tool a long time ago that added arrows instead of listing
priorities. Example low priority was a blue down arrow, medium was a yellow
bar, high was red up arrow etc.. Another thing which might not work for you
but helps on mine is to display whom it is assigned to. Default it to
'unassigned'. You can complicate it some more by email the assignee when it
is assigned and/or email a distribution list when a new bug is entered. You
could also add categories like cosmetic, functional, blah blah blah. I would
also prefer to see some kind of separation on the detail page
(bugviewform.cfm) of each row, either vary row color or underline. One more,
make the columns sortable by clicking the title. Ok I will quit rambling..
Just some thoughts.

And it might even help if I gave you the URL!
http://www.productivityenhancement.com/bug/bugsearchform.cfm
There is no navigation because this is an Alpha that I don't want everyone
seeing.

Subject: [plum] I made a Bug Tracker
Guys,
I went ahead and built a Bug Tracker module using Plum this afternoon, and
I'm running it on ProductivityEnhancement.com so you can take a quick look
at its consumer side. There is also a complete admin side with a bug
report, edit and delete controls, etc, and I'll make a Captivate demo of
it
sometime soon, but for now you can comment on the consumer-side interface.
Though you can't see it from the consumer side, it tags each bug with the
person who submitted it (you can see it on the admin side).
Anyone with the Bug Creator role can submit a bug; everyone else can just
search and view them. I've assigned the Bug Creator role to the following
people:
Aaron Longion
Dan O'Keefe
Tim Blankenship
Jeff Fleitz
Marwan Saidi
Frederick Valone
So give it a while with some fake bugs, then let me know what you think of
this simple system. Should I put in email notification, etc? I'll make
the
final form available free of charge on ProductivityEnhancement.com once
all
the feedback's in and we update the module.
The whole thing integrates seamlessly into the Plum Framework, and makes
use
of the user and role management, cf_Authorize custom tag, and the Plum CMS
(for placing instructions on the bug search form).
