I was just curious as to whether you had looked into this, and apparently you
have.
Now that you mention it, I seem to remember something about speed being discussed on CF-Talk or CFCDEV a while back.
That is a valid concern. Can you share any comparison data between the two approaches?
I was looking at the potential flexibility of using the Application.cfc methods, and just trying to keep my apps current
with the latest technology and/or best practices.
Initially I thought of consolidating the Environment.cfm and Global.cfm templates into it. But you are right about the
Environment template. It is really nice to be able to have to really deal with only that one template when deploying a
project.
Nevermind <g>
Seriously, I may just play with it to see how I like it, and if I decide to adopt it's use I will post my
findings/pitfalls. Might be good for a KB article, because this issue will likely come up again as more people adopt Plum.
Thanks.

From what I've seen, there are some significant speed issues with
Application.cfc. I was excited about the new framework, too, but the way it
is structured seems to be more complicated for deploying across environments
than editing a single envirnoment file.
I'd like to get your ideas on how an Application.cfc-based framework might
be organized for Plum. How do you see the structure working?

Subject: [plum] Thoughts on Application.cfc
Adam and David,
Have you all given any thought to using Application.cfc versus
Application.cfm in the future? I know a lot of folks
are/will be using 6.1 for quite a while, but it would be nice to adopt the
feature set of CFMX7 going forward as well.
Your thoughts/plans?
v/r,
Jeff
