Mark - I'm looking at using hostmysite.com for a PLUM host as well...

How is it going with them?
Any problems using PLUM with them?
Did you use CF7 and SQL Sever 2000?
Did you use the " CF Builder+" plan?
Is there support competent and responsive?

Ev1 else -

Any glowing recommendations for other PLUM hosts?

Thanks all!

Aaron

Yes, there is an email in your plum folder!

I am about to deploy a completed Plum project for the first time.  It will
be on a shared box through hostmysite.com.  They told me several month ago
that it will not be a problem.  I am about to find out if that is true or
not.

My first question (my first, first question is...Is anyone still checking
this list? I sure hope so) is which of these options I will be using.  I had
thought it would be number three, but the wording of the first one sounds
like the right one.  These three choices are from hostmysite's website under
faq concerning using custom tags:

1.  Place your custom tag(s) within a directory in your site and use the
cfmodule tag to call the custom tag as you need it (see below for more
details). This is the method we recommend as it gives you full control over
your custom tag(s) and requires you to have only a single copy of your tag.

2.  Store the custom tag file in the same folder as the .cfm page that is
calling the custom tag. If you are calling the custom tag from multiple
folders in your website you will need to have a copy of the custom tag file
in each directory.

3.  Upload the custom tag file to your website's folder and contact us with
the file name. We will move it to the custom tags folder for you. Please try
to use a unique name. This method is not generally recommended as it gives
you the least amount of control over changing your custom tags.

My second question concerns whether anyone has experienced problems they can
help me avoid with a "heads up".  Are there things I should look out for?
Would you recommend deploying to a sub-directory and making sure everything
is working before making the index page THE index page?  other than running
the cf2module function, is there anything else I should do before uploading?

Thanks a bunch,

Mark
