As part of the Jetspeed team, I'd be quite interested to see how we can
fulfill such a requirement.
In theory, it could be as simple as rewriting a basic spring
config file that does not load all the services that geronimo doesn't
need and maybe substitute some interface implementations (security ?)
with Geronimo specific ones.

J2 architecture is modular and we know it makes it easy to *add* new stuff.
I'm personnally quite interested (and willing to help in my limited free
time) to see how it can help *remove* features to stay within a delimited
footprint, kind of "J2 embedded" :)
