You're running OSS. OSS does *not* support suspend/resume. You'll need to contact the vendor for that driver if you want suspend/resume. (That said, it would be better if you could run the Sun audiohd driver instead.)
iprb does not *yet* support suspend, but that is about to change. (I have test binaries I can send you for it, if you want to run unsupported binaries. The RTI should be filed later this week.) -- Garrett Hern?n Saltiel wrote: > Hello! > I own an HP dv5000 laptop with a Cetrino Duo processor, 1 GB RAM, S-ata disk, > NVidia Geforce GO 7400, etc. > I configured the suspend feature as mentioned on some place here: > - Modified /etc/power.conf to include "S3-support enable". > - Ran pmconfig. > - Restarted hal. > After this, when I clicked on System-Shutdown-Suspend, the machine did > everything but suspend. > The wireless led indicator started to blink, the fans started to spin like > hell, etc. > The last solution was to poweroff the machine with the power button. > On my /var/adm/messages I saw this: > > Nov 23 00:12:30 invid gnome-session[784]: [ID 702911 daemon.warning] WARNING: > Could not connect to ConsoleKit: Could not get owner of name > 'org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit': no such name > Nov 23 00:12:37 invid genunix: [ID 535284 kern.notice] System is being > suspended > Nov 23 00:12:38 invid nvidia: [ID 702911 kern.notice] NOTICE: NVRM: > RmPowerManagement: 4 > Nov 23 00:12:39 invid hdaudio: [ID 443441 kern.warning] WARNING: bad detach > cmd 1 > Nov 23 00:12:39 invid acpica: [ID 530733 kern.notice] NOTICE: > acpica_ddi_setwake: could not evaluate _PRW > Nov 23 00:12:39 invid last message repeated 1 time > Nov 23 00:12:39 invid genunix: [ID 122848 kern.warning] WARNING: Unable to > suspend device pci103c,30a5 at 8. > Nov 23 00:12:39 invid genunix: [ID 537702 kern.warning] WARNING: Device is > busy or does not support suspend/resume. > Nov 23 00:12:40 invid acpica: [ID 530733 kern.notice] NOTICE: > acpica_ddi_setwake: could not evaluate _PRW > Nov 23 00:12:40 invid usba: [ID 723738 kern.info] /pci at 0,0/pci103c,30a5 at > 1d,7 (ehci0): Unable to take control from BIOS.
