You're running OSS.  OSS does *not* support suspend/resume.  You'll need 
to contact the vendor for that driver if you want suspend/resume.  (That 
said, it would be better if you could run the Sun audiohd driver instead.)

iprb does not *yet* support suspend, but that is about to change.  (I 
have test binaries I can send you for it, if you want to run unsupported 
binaries.  The RTI should be filed later this week.)
