(From defect 9124 comment 9: http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=9124#c9 ) I guess that instead of removing the audiohd driver, disabling it with kernel boot option "-B disable-audiohd=true" would work, too? Can you confirm this? In the original state of Opensolaris with the audiohd driver enabled, was the poweroff problem 100% reproducible on your system, every time you've tried a poweroff? I'm asking, because on my N4L-VM DH mainboard the poweroff problem doesn't happen every time; maybe in one out of two cases the box doesn't poweroff. I just tried a couple of poweroff tests on the N4L-VM DH mainboard when booted into single user mode with "-B disable-audiohd=true"; initially it seemed as if disabling audiohd did work around the poweroff problem because the first three poweroff tests were successful. But after that I reproduced the same poweroff hang with the audiohd driver disabled. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
