  I think this is partially a misstatement.  All of our boxes support 
it, it is just that we didn't implement the control at all on x86, and 
limited the availability of the control to Sparc desktops.

  It would be trivial to make this feature work on *all* platforms.  
And I don't think it would not be too hard to design a better user 
interface, and let the new and improved interface justify the 
deprecation of the cruft we have now.
