this still needs documenting on the fox cookbook page.
not sure quite where yet.
the conditional if= parameter accepts values same as the (:if ..:)
directive, and replacement variables like field names {$$name}
are allowed, as it will be evaluated after variable replacements
took place in the Fox processing.
Basically i added a line to the targetlist function.
