[Moderator's Note: We have a pretty good historical record of Christians
"herding" Jews into synagogues and and burning them alive.
They likely did the same to Muslims. The Christians were very good with carnage
and as examples of humanity it is hard to find their equals - even among
Muslims. --Hank]

Are they?

I challenge the view that we must paint all religions with the same brush.

Even in the Crusades, the Christians did not round up their children, herd them
into
schools with the express teachings that "THESE PEOPLE" must be the targets of a
holy-war,
and you must take their lives by any means necessary (I realize that the
language used
there may be questioned by some).

Almost ALL of the incidents of other religions were isolated events. No other
religion has a
systematic method of recruiting and training people to strap on bombs, go to
the enemy,
and SPECIFICALLY target the civilians of that "Enemy" (Usually an enemy of the
imagination
as well).

If you think that the USA, Isreal, or any other country has generals who issue
orders to
their troops to either ignore or specifically target civilians... Then I think
that there is some
obfuscation of facts going on.

Neither Christian, Jew, Buhddist, Hindu, or other religion has as part of its
tenets that its
apostates must be killed.

No other religion on earth has decalred a Holy war on the rest of the world.

The crusades were but an unfortunate event, that were recognized by most sane
people
(later) as being the wrong course of action.

How long will it take to recognize that the course of action of Jihadis is
wrong?

It is wrong to not point out an exception when it is seen, and try to lump all
religions into
the same narrow grouping.

Any rational person has the duty to point out extremism and delusion where
he/she sees
it.
