BTW, as I was boggling at the Pod/Man.pm source the other day, I happened on this line:
s{ (?: \\s-1 | \b ) PI (?: \\s0 | \b ) } {\\*\(PI}gx;
It seems that this turns the standalone word "PI" into the pi symbol. This
makes me feel dirty -- the bad kind of dirty. Doesn't this mean that you
can't discuss an "XML PI" without it turning into an "XML [pi symbol] "?
