Andy Lester spotted what I think is the first substantial problem with
Pod::Simple and perlpodspec (!!) the other day! It's this:

Some people, including Andy, use this construct:

=item * Foo bar baz

to mean what I always thought one absolutely had to express with:

=item *

Foo bar baz

This isn't just some idiosyncracy of Andy's -- I just stabbed around at
random in the Pod corpus on my MSWin laptop's ActiveState install, and
found that perlcygwin.pod has things like:

=item * Pathnames

And Tk/Entry.pod has things like

=item * The proposed value of the entry. If you are configuring the
entry widget to have a new textvariable, this will be the value of that
textvariable.

I think I'll have no trouble altering Pod::Simple to take care of this (and
to try to remember to get around to altering perlpodspec), but I thought I
might bring this syntactic variance to the attention of the list, as it's
news to me at least!
