Note: perlindex is used by Tk::Pod, adding a very nice full text search capability. Make sure you align any API changes with SREZIC. I was considering an overhaul of perlindex myself, but found no time so far. One specific hint: Pod::Index does a poor stripping of the B<> I<> etc. markup - it would be much safer to let Pod::Simple do the parsing in order to just get the text content from the POD without any markup.
In the recent past, there were more people dealing with Pod::Index: Ivan Tubert-Brohman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> => Pod::Index (last change in 2005) Yehuda Berlinger [EMAIL PROTECTED] => claimed in 2003 to have an improved perlindex Ulrich Pfeifer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> => author of perlindex -Marek -----Original Message----- From: Rafael Garcia-Suarez [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > After that... things I'm keen on looking at integrating > are the POD2IT patches for localised Perldocs, and > the Pod::Index work. So, if anyone has thoughts on > those, or other improvements, please let me know! That would be nice (as long as Pod::Index isn't required by perldoc, but that could be negotiated.)
