I'm really curious ... why Visual Studio 6? It's _ancient_ and quite broken in its support for standard C++ . Lots of people seem to use it and I'm always puzzled by it. Personally I use MinGW, gcc on UNIX, and the Visual Studio Express Edition . The Express Edition edition seems fine and has all the critical bits - full platform SDK and compiler, full debugger, etc. No profiler, but that's the only real lack I've hit so far. Then again, I've never been a big fan of IDEs and I work across many platforms, so I don't get too hung up on IDE-specific plugins and features. -- Craig Ringer ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
