Could you please consider the following: I don't think the project should punish
Francesco Pretto by rejection of his not-yet-reviewed patches submitted on 
February 22,
for the project's inaction (including mine, which I beg your pardon for) in not
reviewing and committing them (they're convenient API additions). I would commit
and review them today. Can patches be committed now which aren't for the 
release?
