yes. there are scary and deep voodoo things that would need done. but
that's part of the fun, right? :)  esp since perl doesnt have a way of,
for instance, saving file handles. seems like we could do the community
a rather lot of good (tho DAMN SCARY good) but figuring something out.
if its even possible.
