I use Net/UCD-SNMP for everything, so if a PoCo-SNMP wrapper was written using the UCD-SNMP SNMP.pm it would useful to me. However currently I do all my SNMP work in C right now (AgentX and SMUX) because writing SNMP agents in Perl is very experimental at this time. Hmm... it would be a perfect place to use POE, however.

If your preference is to wrap the component around an existing SNMP module would it be preferred to use an all Perl implementation of SNMP such as Net::SNMP or SNMP_Session, or would the UCD-SNMP SNMP.pm be best? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, Todd
