I have been trying to read/modify existing excel files with new data. Writing the file out works fine and the data does appear when I open the workbook in excel. The problem is that excel doesn't seem to realize the data has been altered and simple excel formulas won't update with the new data.
For example, if I have excel suming two cells and then I write the numbers 1 and 2 to the two cells with poi, when I open up the spreadsheet in excel, the two cells have the 1 and 2, but the cell that is suming them has 0. Hitting F9 or other excel force calculate functions don't seem to matter.
