Hey Andy. I'm the one who patched the code. It seems to work fine in EBCDIC-land on OS390. Unfortunately, when I regression test the patched code in Windows 2000, one of the test cases fails. I've been trying to figure out which test case is broken, but I've not been having much luck deciphering what is going on. If you like, I can forward the patched code, and a list of what classes I changed. Is your apache address ok for this? I will also see what I can do about getting someone here to run the build and test cases on the OS390 machine we have here (I do not have access priveleges on this machine). Given that my client is now reliant on POI-HSSF, it should not be too hard to convince them that helping the project is in their best interests.
