Hi Sharma. Look for that topic (Escher layer) in the archives. It was discussed a lot. I never used images in workbooks myself but I'm in the list for several months and remember several of the things which were going on.
I think POI also allows you searching in the archive. Regards, Karl-Heinz. -----Ursprngliche Nachricht----- Von: Sharma, Siddharth [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Gesendet: Dienstag, 3. So your answer went sailing into the stratosphere ;) The requirement is to create brand new excel workbooks (not modify existing ones) with images (for logos). One way is to read an existing excel file (serving as a template) and populate only data cells and then persist the file with a new name. I was wondering if there is a way to insert an image in a new workbook. What is the Escher layer? Where can I find info on that? I think in general actually images are just passed through and there's no explicit manipulation. Look also for the discussions about the Escher layer.
