Hi, Thanks for your reply. I have 3 source forms that I need to assemble to a new book. I won't know until I need to write the workbook how many of those 3 forms I need. Hence the need for dynamic workbook assembly. Before the workbook is written, the app will also fill data in the forms of the new book.

There in the case of generating a new workbook you see how to create a new sheet within the workbook. Why do you want to generate it from the scratch? Loading a template, changing some things and writing it using a different name can make a lot of things quite easy which might be quite complex doing them by foot. I haven't seen a Book.addSheet(Sheet) method. I have tried creating a new sheet from the new target book. Using row and cell iterators, I create rows and cells. and copy the attributes of the source cells to the tartget cells. However, I seem to miss all of the formatting like backgrounds and column spans.
