My understanding (based on
http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/creating/audio.html mostly) is that
using embed with .wav is very likely to have unwanted side effects
because the sound plugins installed on the navigator and associated
with the .wav extension / mime time will interfere with the presentation.

I should rephrase my question : is it possible, with a flash plugin,
to load external sound files instead of embedding the sound file
within a .swf ? That would be easier to maintain.
