Wow. This approach or research independent from polipo, is that something you plan to integrate in polipo also? What would that mean as feature from polipo user perspective, being able to use polipo with multiple outgoing links? Usually I do all that advanced Multi-ISP routing using Shoreline Firewall [1] setting up iptables. I would even like to set different proxies per site there like I did with bad transparent proxying before. Having http_proxy set and polipo with parentProxy, I see no way to get between with iptables.
