Subject: Treasury Dept. breaks word on keeping email addresses private
Has anybody considered whether the individuals concerned could bring
suit to enforce their rights under 18 USC Section 1905, which in
addition to forbidding improper government disclosures of trade secrets
(the most common way in which the statute is used), bars unauthorized
release of certain information about individuals, including "identity"?
Companies worried about disclosure of their trade secrets sometiimes
rush into court to get injunctive relief, maybe a class of persons might
want to do the same here.
