It is the next predicted step in RFID chip use. A Japanese firm has taken the "only for inventory" RFID chip and turned it into an anti-truant tool. Parents can mod-chip their children and know whenever they leave school premises.
The article tells it from an extremely positive point of view, but it has my imagination shaken to the core.
