I think both versions of the movie "Red Dawn" are good examples of that. We're also isolated, and the only way to invade us logically, (without having a floating logistics island immediately and logistically right off of either our Atlantic or Pacific coastline; like what China is building in the South China Sea) is to invade us from Mexico or Canada. We'd have ample warning if that were in fact beginning to progress. There will be no successful "Surprise Invasion".....
