Hollywood and Travis -

I just caught your discussion about term limits. I have long opposed
such measures more on principle than political ideology. I was glad
to see the Republicans recommend term limits for their House members
back in the 1990s, but many failed to follow through with their
promise. We are at a point where you cannot expect self-regulation to
work and the people seem unwilling or unable to address the matter at
the ballot box. However, ther is no way to make this change without
assistance from the House and Senate and they have no intention of
voluntarily limiting themselves with stipulated term limits. While I
am trending toward a belief that this is a necessary change to correct
the problems in DC, I am doubtful that we can expect any assistance
from out esteemed re-elected representatives and those not yet elected
will not turn over fast enough to make a difference. If you have a
solution to this gridlock, I would love to hear it.
