"I think we can wait until after you've eaten," Derek replied suddenly
frowning. "Nick you might want to make one of those for Kat," he added
realizing he hadn't fed the child dinner yet and it was getting pretty
late. He rubbed his neck wondering what on earth was happening to
him. Lack of sleep most likely, not to mention all the extra stress, a lot
more than he usually dealt it. It was actually a wonder he was still being
civil to anyone.
The girl they had gone to Ireland for.
Julia hesitated a moment with a quick look at the guys (her term for the Legacy
team) and then at Rachel. "Would you mind... if I brought her the
sandwich?"
She wanted to see the girl... couldn't
really put words to it but Kat had been the reason she had been in
Ireland. It wasn't a blame because there was no way the young girl was
responsible for what happened... but she still wanted to meet, really meet, Kat
Corrigan. It would be like... in a strange way a donator meeting the
person that had received an organ that helped save their life.
She looked at Rachel and hoped she would
understand. That and the woman was the girl's mother. It would be
her decision ultimately.
