As the DNA results came out Derek read them and a smile spread across his face, which was by this point very haggard from fatique.  "Congratulations, I now pronounce you Julia Walker."  He struck a button on the computer which logged the last of the results and immediately shipped them off to England.

She rolled down her sleeve and slipped down from the examining table, smiling but without the humor as she came over and watched the progress of the file transfers on the main screen "Let me guess.... Sloan?"

At Derek's look she nodded to herself, having had a few... discussions with the man herself.  Then she gave Alex a half attempt at a smile and left.  If Derek wanted her to have clearance to reenter the room he'd set it up and let her know.

Right now she needed to take a walk.  So she left, rolled her shoulders and left the back way.  The garden would be good at this hour.

She took her socks off at the back door and then walked along the grass and pebbled path toward the smaller of the two gardens.  She knew she should be getting rest but....... well she couldn't sleep.   She wasn't going to bother the others.

She made it to the center of the garden and laid out on the bench, looking up at the night sky.  Why was she here....?

Her eyes started to close, lulled by the soft moonlight and slight breeze blowing.......
