Julia looked up when she heard the girl's
greeting and smiled in return, although it was a little sheepish and unsure as
she remembered the girl's mother... Rachel's reaction to the prospect of Julia
meeting the girl she had gone to Ireland to find.
She looked at the others and returned their
greeting and debated whether she should just grab the pizza and go find out
about sleeping arrangements, skip eating, or brave a possible upset mother but
also thinking that the woman wouldn't be upset with a room full of people
surely?
Here goes nothing, she thought as she
approached Kat and Nick, giving the latter a soft 'hey' of greeting before
lowering herself in a crouch to be eye level with Kat and extending her hand
"Hi, I've heard a lot about you. Julia Walker." Then, to alleviate
any possible tension she looked at the box of pizza on the coffee table next to
them, guessing it was something the girl liked personally "And.. I think I'll be
eternally grateful if you were to share your pizza with me so I didn't have to
gak at the mushrooms on the others."
She then pointed a thumb up at Nick and
winked at Kat "Of course he can eat anything. He's got a stomach of steel,
I think."
