"I dont eat anything 'gross'." Nick said, grabbing a plate, a couple slices
of pizza then took at seat at the table and listened to what those two were
saying.

["Die alien scum!" -Eddie, First Wave]

<< Here goes nothing, she thought as she approached Kat and Nick, giving the
latter a soft 'hey' of greeting before lowering herself in a crouch to be
eye level with Kat and extending her hand "Hi, I've heard a lot about you.
Julia Walker." Then, to alleviate any possible tension she looked at the
box of pizza on the coffee table next to them, guessing it was something the
girl liked personally "And.. I think I'll be eternally grateful if you were
to share your pizza with me so I didn't have to gak at the mushrooms on the
 others."

She then pointed a thumb up at Nick and winked at Kat "Of course he can eat
anything. He's got a stomach of steel, I think."

Kat giggled. "I know! He eats all kinds of gross stuff." Kat juggled her
plate to take Julia's hand and then set it on the end table and slid out of
the chair to get a slice for Julia. Carefully she carried the plate to the
young woman and handed it her. "What kinda stuff did you hear about me,"
she asked curiously. She was always interested in what grownups said about
her, though she teetered on the edge of dread too, afraid they might have
told embarrassing stories. The little girl then climbed back up in her
chair and leveledher gaze on Julia.
