Ria sat upright on the bed and stared at the walls. She was bored and
knew that sleep was not coming anytime soon. Every time she closed
her eyes, she relived what had happened and felt the heartache of
Christian's death even more though some of the pain seemed to have
subsided.
She glanced around the room and walked over to the window staring
out into the sky. She thought she could see Derek from her window,
but she did not want to face him and she did not want to ask him
to call Sloan. There was a lot of hurt inside her and she knew she
had to let bygones be bygones with the Head of the London House,
but she was not ready.
She turned, clutching the robe tighter to her, opened the door and
peered out into the hallway. She could voices downstairs and not
wanting to be alone, she decided to fix herself something to eat.
She quietly crept down the stairs in case anyone was asleep. A
fact she was sure no one was and determinedly marched into the
kitchen seeing Rachel and Kat and some people she did not
recognize. "Hi," she said brightly.
