Derek had settled down in the parlor with a copy of the paper. He had
paperwork he should have been doing, but he just couldn't keep his mind on
it. So, he gave up for the afternoon. Kat was out in the garden with
Ingrid and the house was nice and quiet. Perfect paper reading conditions.
Though, he was still rather restless as he plodded through the San Francisco
Herald. When he heard the knock at the door he decided to give Jonathan a
break. He stood dropping the paper on a chair and went to answer it. He
was rather surprised to find Kristen standing before him. "Kristen?" He
then smiled at the young woman and gave her a warm hug. "It's good to see
you, what brings you here?"
