"Oh I see," he responded thoughtfully. "How about Mario's instead?" He had
no intention of eating at a place called the Spaghetti House, what kind of
Italian food could they have really? Actually, he already knew the answer
to that and thus his suggestion. Mario's had pizza, but also Tuscany style
cuisine that was excellent. A small bestro off the beaten path. In little
Italy, not far from Chinatown.
"Perfect." Julia answered with a small grin before hugging Kat and murmuring
to her that it was time to go get ready for bed and then "Say your
goodnights and I'll be back to let you know how you're mom is doing and..."
She mock whispered the next part "I'll sneak you some oreos up after dinner.
I think tonight is meatloaf night?"
She tucked some hair behind Kat's ear "You don't mind eating alone tonight
do you? I want to help your mom and thought I'd give Ingrid a break since
she's been with her for so long."
Julia looked at Derek, wondering if what he planned himself, and then looked
back at Kat to see and hear her response.
