"So do I," Derek agreed. "He seems to think Rachel is out of the woods.
She'll need further treatment of course, but he seems to think she's made it
past the worst of it."
Julia smiled at that and added "She was talking too before she fell asleep.
Kat's going to love it."
She gently squeezed Derek's arm, excited herself at the good news before
heading to the kitchen to open the fridge and taking out a bottled water
"We're on empty in here."
She came back and sat on the stool he was standing by and grinned, mock
whispering "Dinner, dinner."
