"I didn't find a note," Sam informed her. "All I found was an empty house.
And no your Aunt's place didn't occur to me. Why should it? You've been
there once before and that's it. The place is creepy Reese why would I think
you'd go there alone? frankly, I forgot all about the place." She then
took a closer look at her friend. "Your bleeding," she said suddenly in
alarm.
She didn't move her arm and her voice was muffled "You mean my brain isn't
dripping out with it?"
Then, at the amount of alarm in Sam's voice she made herself move and moved
her arm enough to look at the finger she raised and then the floor drops of
blood had fallen on and let a half groan half explicative she hadn't used in
years escape as she let her hand fall back down and arm back over her eyes.
She was just too damned tired and everything hurt, making her think she
might be diving headlong into a bout of the flu. She didn't want to move,
even to take care of her finger.
