"I know he does," Derek said with a smile.  "That's why I put up with him."

He leaned forward and kissed her cheek.

"I'll let you know as soon as I know something." he promised and then headed for the control room where he found Alex and Nick waiting.

"Good morning," he called to them in his most cheerful, at least for him, early morning tone.

"Any luck?"

She had watched him walk toward and through the holographic wall, smile purely feminine.  Then she headed toward his office, empty glass in hand.

Once Julia was seated at Derek's desk and had the computer up and running she set the glass on the desk top and rolled the chair over to start calling up information.  What she got was a long list of things she started to go through, grinning at some things, chuckling at others, and down right wiggling her eyebrows at even others.

"Oh, I want to see his face for this one," she chuckled as she bookmarked a particular page.  She loved the man but poor Derek, he was going to do a double and possibly even a triple take on this one.  She could well imagine his cheeks turning a shade of red that always had her in the mood to just hold them and smile.

She sat there for a while, chin in hand, and bookmarking all kinds of pages.  Then she found an online baby name dictionary.  Out of curiosity she entered Derek's full name.

"Derek," she read in a quiet tone "'The people's ruler'.  Cute.  Emery: 'Immortal ruler'.  And he doesn't like his name?"

She made a small sound, a soft pffffft, before continuing "Rayne: 'mighty army'.  He better not get a big head because of this."

"What's mine," she typed in her name and made fun of herself "'Temperamental pregnant woman'?"

She waited a couple of seconds as the results came back. Julia Michelle Walker: Youthful, Like the Lord and let me guess.. pedestrian? Hmm.. close enough.  Well at least I can get a big head over the middle name.. "

She chuckled and continued looking up information, bookmarking that she thought Derek would be interested in reading and making notes of things to ask the doctor when they went in for their first appointment in a week.

Before she knew it the time had passed it was nearing time to go out and find that dress.

She stood and stretched, leaving the computer on idle, with a scrolling message she had popped up for Derek to read when he came in, and couldn't help but smile, tracing the letters before she picked up the glass from earlier and headed out.

She went to the library that led to the Control Room and waited as the security system scanned her retina and then cleared her for entry.  Once done she entered and greeted them, looking at the main screen curiously as she sat on the edge of a table "Any news?"
