<<I'm in bad guy mode.. don't make me flick it at you =)>>

It was only a sharp, commanding voice that stopped the action from being taken and Julia found herself looking over and meeting a pair of ice cold black eyes, one word reverberating in her mind.

Vampire.

He looked at the girl that had been tossed against the door with a dismissing glance and then turned to look at the one Mathezar had in his grasp.  With a small motion with his head he switched places with him, taking the woman by the neck and looking at her evilly, "I don't know who you are... but you know someone I would love nothing more than to kill with my bare hands."

He pulled her head to the side, putting his nose to her neck and inhaling deeply before asking low, in an almost growl and his eyes flashing a low burning red as he looked at her "Where is he, your lover, hmm?"

He bent to her ear, continuing his questioning "Where is Derek Rayne?"

The desire to kill the Legacy Precept was like a fire in his veins and almost distracted him from what had to be done.  He had the man's lover in his grasp and knew that if Derek Rayne found out she were in danger he would come, no matter the cost of his personal self.

The smile the vampire gave Julia was cold and hard.  Then he turned to the others and nodded at the older man and the woman he had come with "Lock them up somewhere in the house.  They have to let the ones that will be coming know what happened.  Take the others to our den."

He then nodded at the woman that had actually set fire to a number of their kind "If she wakes up and tries that trick again, kill her."

Then he turned to the woman he had by the neck, smiling at the glare she was shooting him "This one stays with me for the moment."

"Check the vehicles and make sure no one else is out there." he instructed the nearest that didn't have a body to move.

He loved the liquid his people drank in order to come out into the sunlight.  He could see the confusion on some of their faces and smiled, showing his fangs to let them know, if they doubted it, just what they were.

Seconds later the man returned, Julia's cellphone in hand and beeping as the line had been disconnected.

"It's time to leave.  We don't want our enemies catching us too soon, now do we?"  He then pulled Julia after him, the others moving to do as they were ordered.
