The explosions resounded in the den and vampires looked every way to
determine where it had come from.
"Bring Derek Rayne back to me!" not-Claire roared to a group of vampires,
sending them to go investigate and holding the artifact close to her/him.
Then he/she turned to Alex "Take your sacrifice now!"
He/She grabbed Milo roughly and jerked his neck to the side, his/her long
fangs protruding and intent on feasting on him.
Derek:
Derek dodged to the side as one of the vampires came towards him. He pulled
out a dagger stabbing the creature in the heart. It was quick, but came
with a struggle that left Derek's face scratched and the wind slightly
knocked form his lungs as the vampire tried to attack. Derek lowered the
still form to the ground and listen to where they were going. Then he
slipped closer to the room, stoping to reload the flame throw with new
propane tank from the bag he was carrying. The room was nearly empty now
and he headed inside. "Let him go," he said aiming the weapon at the
vampire holding Milo.
